29th meeting of National Animal Health Program

29th meeting of National Animal Health Program took place at the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia. The aim of the meeting was to  to share information regarding FMD current status and discuss activities and future plans related to Animal Health. The meeting was chaired by the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Agriculture -Nodar Kereselidze.

As Nodar Kereselidze mentioned it is a very important achievement of SG that veterinary has been added into the list of regulatory professions. He also congratulated SG members with formal status of NAHP.  

The meeting was conducted in a working environment. Representatives of US Department of Agriculture (USDA), Colorado State University (CSU), Georgian Rural Development Department of the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GRDD of GIPA), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and other donor organizations were able to discuss animal health related problems and ways to solve them through the round table principle.
